I have always loved to do artistic things, and discovering the enticing world of beads, with their myriad shapes, colors, and textures, gave me a new creative outlet.
I have been a teacher since 1987 in the beautiful town of Ashland, Oregon, home of the Shakespeare Theatre and Southern Oregon University. I've lived in Ashland since 1970, and have watched it grow in population, tourism, sophistication, and artisanry. This is an artists' town, and I play my small part in it by creating jewelry in addition to my teaching job. I also enjoy my family, photography, reading, and my cats and birds.
My jewelry business grew from a hobby. I was lured by the beauty of beads, and how the color, shape, and texture of beads lend them to endless possibilities of design. I am always thinking about new ways to put beads together so that each bead is enhanced by those around it, and with the intention that each piece of jewelry is a delight to look at and wear.

This set was a special rush order by a man who wanted a gift for his first date with the new woman in his life. (She loved it!) It has a huge hand-made sterling rose from Thailand, silver pearls, purple crystals and lovely purple lampwork beads.
